Facilities:
Seven hundred square foot apartment located on the ground floor of one of the oldest buildings in Diamante, and immediately adjacent to the Medieval watchtower. The apartment sleeps up to five people and is fully furnished with all the kitchen accessories necessary for cooking and dining for up to five occupants. The rental comes with all the bed and bathroom towels, linens, and necessities. Beach towels are not included. Two large sunsplashed windows open to private gardens below, and views of the old town with mountains or the Mediterranean Sea beyond. The apartment entrance leads to the kitchen and dining/living room area. A small room off this main room sleeps two on bunk beds. Stairs lead up to the master bedroom that accommodates three, and bathroom located on the loft. A refreshing evening breeze descends from the mountains every evening providing night time respite from the hot summer days. Shops, restaurants, markets, beaches, and the marina are all a short walking distance from this secluded and quiet apartment. Furnishings include a TV, stereo, and washing machine.

Diamante and its neighboring locations has much to offer for all tastes. Apart from simply walking through the old town, sunbathing and swimming along one of the many beaches, boating to a nearby islet, or hiking the Pollino National Park, one can venture on day trips to any one of a multitude of historic and archaelogic sites and hilltowns of the surrounding area. Depending on the time of year, activities of great interest are typically festivals celebrated by local townsfolk. Diamante, one of the most important destinations on the West Coast of Calabria. This quiet and characteristic village is steeped in the tradition and customs of southern Italy. Surrounded by the clear, warm waters with sandy beaches and dramatic, rocky coast of the Mediterranean, swimming is enjoyed from April through October. Just outside of Diamante is the Mount Pollino National Park with its clear mountain streams, white water rafting, and historic medieval villages. Diamante, also known as "the city of art", is world renowned for its many painted murals that adorn the historic center, many of which are inspired by the yearly hot pepper festival that takes place in September. Our apartment rental is located in the heart of the old Diamante, from where a short walk in any direction will take you to swimming beaches, the marina and the village sea promenade, with boutiques, restaurants, bars, and the colorful weekly farmers' market.
Policies/Restrictions:
Rates indicated below are for the rental of the entire apartment and not per person. Prices are in Euros and can be paid in US dollars. The exchange rate will be determined at the time of payment of the deposit.
Rates for the period SEPTEMBER 16 through JUNE 15 are 40 Euros nightly, with a three night minimum. Discount applies for weekly rate, 250 Euros per week.
Rates for the period JUNE 16 through JULY 31 are 50 Euros nightly, with a three night minimum. Discount applies for weekly rate, 300 Euros per week.
Rates for the period AUGUST 1 through SEPTEMBER 15 are 70 Euros nightly, with a three night minimum. Discount applies for weekly rate, 450 Euros per week.
Rentals are scheduled starting at the three night minimum, or weekly and pay the rates as indicated above.
Rental Rate Notes - 50% deposit to hold space; balance due 45 days prior to check in. Rates are for 5 occupants MAXIMUM, children count as occupants.
Deposits - 50% of total stay is required to hold space. Balance due 45 days prior to arrival, plus a Euro 150 refundable security deposit. Email us to discuss payment options.
Refunds - ALL RESERVATIONS ARE FINAL WITH LESS THAN 30 DAYS CANCELLATION, UNLESS PROPERTY IS RE-RENTED; 30 DAY CANCELLATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO A 10% CANCELLATION FEE, AND THE FOLLOWING APPLIES:
* 21-29 days prior to check in: 75% of payment refunded;
* 14-20 days prior to check in: 50% of payment refunded;
* 8-13 days prior to check in: 25% of payment refunded;
* 7 days or less prior to check in: 0% of payment refunded
