HOME IN PARADISE...
NOTE: When you click on "Click To Zoom" on the pictures above, 15 large pictures will be displayed of our home!
We're considering selling our wonderful home in Leilani Estates near the small town of Pahoa which is about 20 miles south of Hilo. Although it's a 2/2/2, it's a HUGE 2/2 with big rooms and open spaces. There are two full baths, and the one serving the master bedroom has a huge walk-in, tiled shower with 2 shower heads. There are 3 lanais, and the largest one has a top-of-the-line spa. The double-car garage is oversized and recently built.
The home was built in 1997 and has 1800 sq. ft. Most homes for sale in this price range are Spec Built Homes constructed hurridly for a quick profit. A thorough inspection of our home quickly reveals quality construction with a unique floor plan and all those little extras that are lacking in those Spec Homes. For instance the six Ohio Tree posts/rafter in the kitchen/dining area add special charm as does the many dutch gabled roof lines. We hired a Tongan craftsman to build our lava rock entry wall where we added a cedar gate. This entry, gate, and groomed hedge enhances the front of the property and adds additional privacy/security.
The one acre is beautifully landscaped with many tropicals, including orchids and palms; and all sorts of mature fruit trees, including orange, lime, lemon, grapefruit, and fig; plus producing avocados (some new hybrids too), an old mature producing Ulu (Breadfruit) way in the back. There is a beautifully large, octagon aviary which houses one African Grey right now (plenty big enough for lots of birds). We have soil and an area for a producing vegetable garden. There's a natural lava rock wall on the southeast side of the property, and we've added several gold fish and coy ponds landscaped with hapuu tree ferns, Australiam tree ferns, orchids, antheriums, and many other tropical plants.
The attached pictures give you a good idea of our property, and more pictures can be sent if you're really interested. We're absolutely happy here in Paradise, but like I said we're considering a move back to the mainland because of our age and health care issues.
To enhance the sale, we would consider Owner Financing, and all of our nice furnishings are negotiable as well.
